Maverick County Daily Reports-June 20, 2015

Harassment by Phone-A deputy responded to the 200 block of Tangle Wood after a female stated a known male subject had been harassing her. A report was filed.

Public Intoxication-A deputy conducting patrolling duties on FM 1021 conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. The driver, Hector Hernandez, had slurred speech and and alcohol odor emitting from his person. Mr. Hernandez was arrested on public intoxication charges.

Public Intoxication, Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Deputies were dispatched to Callejon Teran in reference to a motor vehicle accident with a fixed object. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Francisco Aranda, who told deputies he had struck a guard rail. He would be later placed under arrest on public intoxication charges and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Border Patrol South station agents contacted sheriff's deputies after a male subject was found to be intoxicated. David Silas Silva was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Mother Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Deputies responded to US Highway 277 East after an apparent roll over accident. units arrived at the scene to find a truck had rolled over and struck a ranch fenceline. A search of the area was done to locate the driver to no avail.

Assault-A female complainant on the 1600 block of FM 2030 stated that a known female subject had assaulted her and fled the scene. A report was filed.

Information Report-Deputies responded to US Highway 277, mile marker 616 in reference to a vehicle on fire. Contact was made with the driver of a Ford 250 that was found engulfed in flames. The driver advised that pickup had mechanical problems that caused the incident. Eagle Pass Fire crews were on hand to extinguish the fire.


Wanted Person-A TCIC/NCIC database check conducted on a male subject attempting to enter the United States via Port of Entry #1 revealed an outstanding warrant out of Dallas County. The male subject was placed under arrest and tranpsorted to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Sexual Assault Report-Deputies were dispatched to the Border Patrol South station in reference to a sexual assault report.

Criminal Mischief- A complainant advised deputies that unknown subject(s) had shattered her vehicle windows.

Hit and Run-A deputy was dispatched to the 400 block of Ranchitos Road in reference to a hit and run report. The male complainant stated that a red Dodge Charger struck his truck and left the scene of the accident in an unknown direction of travel.

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies responded to the 2700 block of Sanchez Street after receiving reports of a disturbance in progress. A female complainant stated her ex-boyfriend arrived by her roommate's apartment and was verbally aggressive. Prior to the unit's arrival, the known male subject left the area.
