Maverick County Daily Reports-June 18, 2015

Motor Vehicle Accident- Deputies responded to the intersection of Las Quintas Blvd. and Mark Anthony at approximately 7:50 AM this morning, when a vehicle was reportedly struck from behind. County units arrived and witnessed a white 2007 Buick Lacrosse and a 2014 blue Ford Fusion on the roadway. After further investigation, it was determined that the Buick, driven by fifty-two year old Melinda Vasquez, was traveling westbound behind the Ford Fusion. The Driver of the Fusion, Cynthia Mendez Roberts, was traveling over a peed hump when she was struck from behind by the Lacrosse. Mrs. Roberts was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center by ambualnce. Ms. Vasquez refused medical attention at the time of this report.

Information Report-Deputies arrived to the 1600 block of Eidson Road at approximately 9:30 AM after a complainant had advised a known male subject arrived to the location to start a verbal argument. The complainant wished to file a report in reference to the matter.

Information Report-Deputies received an information report in reference to a small brush fire on Valerie Street. The Eagle Pass Fire Department was at the locale and were able to successfully contain the fire.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident at the corner of Crane Street and Fresno Street. Upon arrival, deputies observed an orange Dodge Ram with rear side damaged and a black Ford F-15o with minor front damaged. Both parties refused medical attention at the time of the report.

Harassment-A complainant requested to file a report after having received unwanted and annoying text messages from a known female.

Civil Matter-Deputies were dispatched to the Chula Vista sector of Maverick County after a female subject wished to file a report . The female stated that her dog was tied up in her property when a stray dog began attacking her.
