Patrol officers conducting perimeter checks at the Maverick County Lake early Friday morning discovered a parked vehicle near the front entrance. At approximately 2:42 AM, deputies approached an abandoned 2005 maroon KIA Spectra with damages to its front bumper and further noticed that approximately fifty feet of the front gate leading into the lake had been knocked down. The vehicle was transported to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for further investigation.
