Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident in Seco Mines early Friday morning, near the 3:20 AM hour. Units arrived to US Highway 277 North and Church Street to find a vehicle with extensive damages unoccupied. Further investigations and reporting persons advised the Sheriff's Office that the vehicle had previously left the scene of an accident when it struck a fuel pump located at the Shell Gas Station On Highway 277 and Hopedale road. The vehicle later impacted another fixture at the intersection where it came to a stop. The driver, then identified as Nathan Jimenez of Eagle Pass, Texas, refused medical attention at the time of the report. Mr. Jimenez was arrested at the scene and was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
