Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-April 10, 2015
County deputies were dispatched to the Las Quintas sector of Maverick County early Friday morning after receiving calls of suspicious activity in the area. Units arrived to the 1300 block of Willie Street, where noises were heard behind a residence. Officers quickly encountered three male subjects, who eventually admitted to haven taken an air conditioner window unit from an unknown residence without the owner's consent. A further search of the area yielded a large plasma flat screen television, a stereo surround system, two cellular phones, two wrist watches, and two pocket knives. The three male subjects were arrested and charged with burglary of habitation. This case remains under investigation.
