Deputies with the Sheriff's Office assisted United States Border Patrol agents and Homeland Security Investigations in the Loma Bonita area of Maverick County Tuesday morning. At approximately 7:49 AM deputies conducted a welfare check at a residence on Coyunda Street and made contact with the male and female. Further investigations by HSI determined the female to be undocumented citizen and was taken into custody by the United States Border Patrol for processing.
