Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-April 2, 2015
Maverick County Sheriff's Deputies assisting Homeland Security Investigations made a discovery in the Las Hacenditas sector of Maverick County Wednesday evening. At approximately 9:30 PM, agents performed welfare check on a residence in the area, where upon further investigation, discovered seventeen undocumented citizens by the residence. United States Border Patrol agents were also on the scene to take custody of the individuals. This case remains under investigation.
