Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-January 20, 2015
Units were dispatched to the Comanche Ranch early Saturday morning in response to human remains found on the ranch property. At approximately 11:17 AM, deputies made contact with United States Border Patrol agents at the scene, who advised they had been contacted by the ranch manager. The manager stated that a ranch helicopter pilot had spotted the human remains on the property. Justice of the Peace Madera was contacted and pronounced the unknown subject deceased at 1:25 PM. Judge Madera also ordered an autopsy on the remains.
