Deputies on patrol were dispatched to the intersection of Academy Road and Alazan Drive Thursday evening, in reference to a single vehicle rollover accident. At approximately 10:39 PM, county units arrived at the location to observe a gray 2012 Volkswagen Passat with no occupants turned over on its driver side. Deputies then made contact with two male subjects at the scene, identified as eighteen year old Anthony J. Patitucci and twenty year-old James Bernal Reno. Mr Patitucci, the driver of the Passat, showed signs of intoxication and admitted to having consumed alcohol prior to the accident. He refused medical attention at the time of the report and refused to perform the standardized field sobriety test or provide a specimen of his breath to conclude a alcohol concentration level. Mr. Patitucci was then placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Mr. Patitucci's passenger, Mr. Reno, also refused medical attention and was cited for public intoxication. This case remains under investigation.
