Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-October 30, 2014


County units were dispatched to Highway 277 North Wednesday afternoon, shortly after 6:40 PM, after deputies received a call in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Deputies arrived at the scene and spoke with a male juvenile driver of a 2005 gold Pontiac G6, who stated he was traveling north on Highway 277 when an unknown vehicle in front of him turned into a residence. In efforts to avoid hitting the turning vehicle, the driver broke, leading the Pontiac to skid approximately 228 feet before striking the fence line of a residence. The accident caused approximately 50 feet of damage to the property's fence. The make subject at the time of the report and was cited for not having a driver's license.
