County units were dispatched to Mayan Circle Monday afternoon, after receiving calls of a motor vehicle accident. At approximately 4:47 PM, deputies made contact with fifty-six year old Dora Elia Martinez Rios, the driver of a 2013 maroon Ford Fusion. Ms. Rios stated she was stopped at the intersection of Mayan Circle and Las Brisas when she felt the impact of her vehicle being hit from behind by a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle, identified as sixty year old Frank Lara, Jr., was immediately ejected from his motorcycle upon impact. EMS crews transported Mr. Lara to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further observation after sustaining injuries. Ms. Rios refused medical attention at the time of the report.
