Sheriff's deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident on FM 2644 on Monday August 11th, approximately 10 miles east of FM 1021(El Indio Highway). After receiving the initial call at 5:05 PM, deputies arrived to observe a 1999 Black GMC Suburban off of the road, laying on its side. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Carlos Fernandez De La Cerda, stated that he was en route to work when he lost control of the vehicle, which caused it to rollover several times. Mr. De La Cerda refused medical attention at the time of the report and the case was turned over to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
