Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-August 14, 2014
Sheriff's deputies responded to the 1200 block of Wagon Wheel Road Wednesday evening, minutes past the 11:00 PM hour, after receiving calls of a possible accident. Deputies arrived to find the passenger of a 2007 four door Saturn standing outside the vehicle involved in the accident. The driver of the the vehicle had fled the scene in an unknown direction before deputies arrived but later returned before being placed under arrest. Both the driver and passenger refused further medical attention and the driver was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
