Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Deputies were dispatched to FM1021 South (El Indio Highway) in reference to a motor vehicle accident Wednesday July 02, 2014. Up arrival to the area, deputies observed a 2005 Tan Ford Ranger rolled over on its side. Contact was then made with the driver, identified as seventeen year old Eduardo Garcia III, who sustained injuries to his head, shoulder, and a laceration on his right hand. EMS was summoned to the scene of the accident and Mr. Garcia was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further medical observation. The cause of the motor vehicle accident was unknown at the time of the report and the case was turned over to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
