Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-County deputies were dispatched to US Highway 277 South Monday morning at approximately 8:00 AM after receiving reports of a motor vehicle accident. Deputies arrived at the scene near the entrance to the Conoco Philips Company main gate to observe two vehicles involved in an accident. Initial contact was made with the female driver of a 2011 White Ford Expedition in need of medical attention. Contact was then made with the driver the secondary vehicle, a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500. The Male subject stated that he was turning into the Conoco Philips Company main gate when the Ford Expedition collided with him from behind. The female driver was treated by EMS on the scene and both drivers were later transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further medical evaluation. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived and took over the accident scene.
