Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-The Maverick County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous call in reference to possible narcotics at a residence by Callejon Teran Monday, July 7th 2014. Units arrived and made contact with the homeowner of the residence, who gave consent to search the residence and property. Upon a thorough search, three military style duffel bags containing several bricks with marijuana characteristics hidden by a mattress located on the side of the residence were discovered. The bundles were recovered and it was later determined that 196.85 lbs. of marijuana were confiscated. This case remains under investigation by the Maverick County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Unit.
