Maverick County Sheriff's Office-(PRESS RELEASE)-On Saturday, April 27, 2014 at approximately 10:04 AM, deputies were dispatched to Lisa Blvd. in reference to a horse under attack by bees. Deputies arrived to make contact with the person who placed the initial report, who advised that the gray horse was seen running towards Columbino Road. The horse in question was eventually found in a state of distress near a residence on Columbino Road. Neighbors were able to hose the horse down with water. The horse, however, was later found deceased.
