Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Maverick County deputies were dispatched to Lariat Street Saturday, April 26 at 10:30 AM in reference to a subject entering a residence with sacks possibly containing illegal narcotics. Deputies arrived to the address to find the front door open and proceeded to conduct a search of the residence for said subject. Upon concluding the search, two white and green feed sacks were located in the laundry room. Further investigation revealed the sacks contained a green leafy subject which tested positive for marijuana. A total of 119 pounds of marijuana were confiscated from the residence. This case remains under investigation.
