Body recovered from Rio Grande River

Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a the river vega in Northern Maverick County Tuesday morning at approximately 8:53 AM. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with United States Border Patrol officials who stated they had noticed a body floating in the Rio Grande River. Eagle Pass Fire Station was summoned to the locale to assist in the efforts to recover the body and were able to do so with the assistance of border patrol officers. Justice of the Peace Madera was on site and pronounced the victim deceased at 10:14 AM
