Maverick County Sheriff's Office(PRESS RELEASE)-On Friday, March 28, 2014 at 1:59 PM, Maverick County Sheriff's deputies responded to FM 481 near the Briscoe Ranch regarding a single motor vehicle rollover accident. Upon arrival, deputies noticed a grey Chevy Silverado off the road with front and top damages. Deputies made contact with the occupants of the vehicle who advised they were unhurt but were requesting an ambulance to be checked for minor injuries to the head and face. The driver stated that he drove off the road unto the gravel and then over corrected to the left, causing him to lose control and skid off of the highway. Skid marks were visible from the highway unto the dirt. Both occupants were treated on the scene and transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. The Texas Department of Public Safety arrived at the scene of the accident and has taken over the investigation.
