PRESS RELEASE: Missing Elderly Man Found

Maverick County Sheriff's Office (PRESS RELEASE)- Maverick County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Coyunda Street early Friday morning after receiving a call in reference to a missing elderly male. Upon arrival, deputies were asked to file a missing persons report. The complainant advised deputies that his father, seventy five year old Julian Cabello, left the residence possible on foot at an unknown time and in an unknown direction. The Complaintant stated that Mr. Cabello suffers from Alzheimer's and that has left much in the same manner before. He further added that Mr. Cabello can hardly walk due to  poor health conditions and previous surgeries and can't see without his glasses.
Deputy sheriffs, with the assistance of the United States Border Patrol and the Eagle Pass Police Department, located Mr. Cabello in a brush area near the intersection of Boulder Ridge and Windsor Road at approximately 6:47 AM. Mr. Cabello was found laying on the ground conscious and an ambulance was summoned to the scene to check for possible hypothermia conditions. Mr. Cabello was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center emergency room by EMS for further evaluations.
