Maverick County Sheriff's Office (PRESS RELEASE)- Maverick County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a possible motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on the 500 block of Linares street Thursday afternoon. Deputies made contact with Sarah Martinez, who claimed she had an accident with her own vehicle. Mrs. Martinez stated that she had her vehicle door open when she released the hand break. She further stated that the vehicle began moving in reverse, causing her to fall. Mrs. Martinez was treated on the scene by emergency medical technicians for minor scrapes and bruises and denied further medical attention. This case remains under investigation.
