Physical Altercation leaves two men Hospitalized

Maverick County Sheriff's Office (PRESS RELEASE)- Maverick County deputies were dispatched to a fight in progress by Gera's Bar on El Indio Highway late Sunday evening. Officers arrived at the location to find two male subjects with stab wounds to the abdomen, who witnesses described were involved in a physical altercation at the scene. The victims, identified as thirty-eight year old Luis Hernandez and thirty-seven year old Rogelio Garcia, were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for treatment . 

A search of the immediate area turned up one male subject, who was detained for investigation purposes, after having matched the description provided by witnesses. This case remains under investigation.
