Hit and Run-Units responded to the 2700 block of Diaz Street this afternoon after a complainant reported his parked Dodge Durango had been struck by a Buick vehicle which fled the scene in an unknown direction. The complainant further stated he was able to identify the driver and located the vehicle a few blocks away from the incident. Deputies then made contact with the subject in question, fifty-five year old Vidal Vasquez, who admitted to being the driver of the Buick involved in the accident. He was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
