Fraud-Deputies this morning made contact with a complainant who reported he had received a phone call from a male subject claiming to be a police officer who requested funds for outstanding warrants. The complainant further reported he had given the subject his banking information and found that approximately $500.00 had been withdrawn from his account. A formal report was filed.
Possession of Marijuana/Possession of Dangerous Drugs-A county unit patrolling Memo Robinson Road this evening conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Captiva for a minor infraction, where contact was made with the occupants, twenty-two year old Jose Garza and eighteen year old Camila Salas. Mr. Garza failed to display identification and a safety pat down found him in possession of three non-prescribed tramadol pills. Consent to search the vehicle was also granted and a baggie containing a green leafy substance was discovered. Both Garza and Ms. Salas took ownership of the substance, which would later test positive for marijuana. The pair were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
