Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of Marijuana-A traffic stop conducted on FM1021 this afternoon yielded the discovery of narcotics in the vehicle. Shortly before 1:30 PM, deputies performed a stop on a 2013 Chrysler 200 for a minor infraction. Contact was made with thirty year old Juan Carlos Gomez, who began to act in an uncooperating manner and was forced to be assisted out of the vehicle after disobeying multiple requests. A further inspection of the vehicle revealed Gomez was transporting approximately 896 grams of methamphetamine and small amount of marijuana(<2 oz.). Gomez was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
