Resisting Arrest-A deputy patrolling North Veteran's Blvd this morning conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle seen traveling at a high rate of speed. Emergency lights were activated on the vehicle in question, which came to a complete stop near Rudy Bowles Street and contact was made with the driver identified as twenty-six year old Alexia Baltazar. Ms. Baltazar, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, resisted arrest. She was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object-Deputies responded to the intersection of Loop 480 and FM 1021 after the driver of a 2007 Ford F150 lost control of his vehicle and drove off the roadway, striking a light pole and causing damage to a property fence. Contact was made with the driver who reported he had fallen asleep. Medical attention was refused and the vehicle was towed from the location.
Wanted Person-thirty-one year old Juan Manuel Gil-Sanchez was arrested at the international port of entry this afternoon after initially being detained by CBP agents when a check revealed a possible active warrant. The warrant out of Maverick County was confirmed and Mr. Sanchez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
