Maverick County Daily Reports-May 20, 2020

Theft-a complainant on the 100 block of Branch Circle told deputies unknown subject(s) had entered her property and took two trailer axles from her mobile trailer without consent. An estimated value was not provided at the time of the report. This is under investigation. 

Wanted Person-Thirty-four year old Belinda Montelongo was taken into custody at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office this afternoon after she voluntarily turned herself in on an outstanding warrant charge out of Austin, Texas. She was turned over to the Jail Division at the Tom Bowles Detention Center. 

Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies were dispatched to Mesquite Street this evening after receiving reports of a disturbance in progress. Upon investigation at the location, a safety pat down was conducted on one of the subjects at the scene, who was found to be in possession of approximately 3.38 grams of methamphetamine. The subject identified as forty-six year old Jose Tapia was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
