Maverick County Daily Reports-February 22, 2020

Reckless Driving/Public Intoxication-A deputy patrolling South Veteran's Blvd. early this morning conducted a traffic stop on a 2018 Kia Optima after it was seen leaving a convenience store at a high rate of speed. The driver was identified as Jessie Trevino, who displayed signs of intoxication upon contact. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Burglary of Building-A complainant on the 23000 block of US Highway 277 North reported unknown subject(s) gained access to two shipping containers on the property and took several assorted tools without consent. A formal report was filed.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle-Deputies on Los Charros Road in Chula Vista this morning conducted a check on a 2010 Audi at the location, which came back reported as stolen out of the Eagle Pass Police Department. Contact was made with Eagle Pass Police officers, who contacted the registered owner of the vehicle, enabling him to regain custody. A formal report was filed.

Family Violence/Assault-A complainant at the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center reported he had been involved in an argument with a family member which turned into a physical altercation. A formal report was filed.
