Maverick County Daily Reports-January 29, 2020

Theft-A complainant on the 3100 block of La Herradura reported unknown subject(s) had entered his property and took two motorcycles without his consent. A 2009 Kawasaki and a 2001 Yamaha were found missing and were entered into the database as stolen. 

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-A county unit was dispatched to the 100 block of High Noon this afternoon after a complainant reported she had left her 2002 Chevrolet Silverado stationary in front of her residence when unknown subject(s) took it without consent. The vehicle was entered in the TCIC/NCIC system as stolen. 

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Victor Olivo Rivera was taken into custody this afternoon after CBP agents reported they had detained a male subject in possession of a green leafy substance with marijuana characteristics. The substance would take positive for marijuana and Mr. Olivo was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies this afternoon met with Kickapoo Tribal Police officers who reported they had come across a male subject in possession of a possible stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, had previously been reported stolen and the driver identified as twenty-nine year old Jacob Skyler Valdez was placed under arrest. Mr. Valdez was also found in possession of  marijuana after a pat down check found a clear plastic baggie containing the green leafy substance in his right sock. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. 

Theft-A complainant reported over the phone that unknown subject(s) had stolen his 2003 Yamaha bike from outside his property without consent. A formal report was filed.
