Wanted Person-Contact was made with City of Eagle Pass Police officers this morning after they detained a male subject with a possible open warrant out of Maverick County. The warrant for the subject, Jules Enrique Montalvo was confirmed and he was taken into custody before being transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Homicide-Units responded to Rosita Valley Road and FM 1021 minutes past the 10:00 PM hour this evening, whereupon arrival observed a male subject found laying on the ground and a second subject using his mobile phone. Deputies quickly detained the male subject, identified as Luis Ramon Miranda, who was transported to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for investigative purposes. EMS crews arrived at the scene and advised the subject, Jose Armando Ramirez, found lying was deceased. A Justice of the Peace was summoned to the location to pronounce Mr. Ramirez deceased at approximately 10:50 PM. Criminal Investigations Unit arrived to process the scene and two vehicles were impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for investigative purposes. This case remains under investigation.
