Assault/Interfering with Emergency-A unit responded to the Shell gas station on El Indio Highway this morning after a complainant reported a male subject had entered the location and became hostile to the point of taking her phone when she attempted to dial 911. The complainant further advised the male subject, later identified as John Joel Palmer began to assault her. Deputies arriving at the scene made contact with Palmer as he attempted to leave the area and took him into custody. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Possession of a Controlled Substance-Deputies responded to the international port of entry 2 this morning after agents at the port reported detaining a male subject driving a 2003 Ford E-350 who was found in possession of 8.5 pounds of methamphetamine. The subject, fifty-two year old Nicolas Segovia Ojeda was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-Contact was made with City of Eagle Pass Police officers this morning after they detained a male subject on the 1000 block of Trinity Street whose background check revealed an open warrant out of the Maverick County Sheriff's Office. The warrant for the subject identified as Ernesto Magdaleno on probation violation charges was confirmed and he was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Public Intoxication/Hit and Run-The driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze traveling on Wagon Wheel Road this morning struck a barb-wire fence before feeling the scene the accident. Deputies in the area were then able to make contact with a male subject found walking along Ghost Rider Road, who identified himself as the passenger of said vehicle. The subject, twenty-one year old Jason Lee Ballones displayed several signs of intoxication and was taken into custody before being transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-Twenty-eight year old Hector Enrique Mendiola was placed under arrest this afternoon after Adult Probation dept. officers detained him when a check revealed an open warrant. The warrant was confirmed and Mendiola was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Theft-A resident on the 3000 block of Landin Street reported unknown subject(S) had entered her property and took several items without her consent. A formal report was filed.

Wanted Person-A minor traffic violation on Memo Robinson Road this evening led to the arrest of twenty-year old Albert Sanchez this evening after a check revealed an open warrant on a probation violation. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Wanted Person-A unit responded to the international port of entry #2 this evening after CBP agents at the port detained a female subject whose background check revealed an open warrant. Rosa Elvia Moreno was taken into custody after the warrant out of the Travis County Sheriff's Office was confirmed as active. She was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
