Maverick County Daily Reports-December 26, 2019

Resisting Arrest/Public Intoxication/Possession of a Controlled Substance--Deputies responded to a fireworks stand on FM 1021 near Wild Wood early this morning in regards to a possible intoxicated subject at the scene. Deputies made contact with a subject identified as Martin Portillo upon arrival, who was found in a highly intoxicated state. He was placed under arrest after initially resisting and causing a brief struggle. Two knives and a black protector box containing a several clear baggies containing 6.7 grams of methamphetamine were found on his person. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Criminal Mischief-Members of the Maverick County Road and Bridge Department reported unknown subject(s) had caused damages to a chainlink fence at the Alex Alvarez Sports Complex in Loma Bonita this morning. A formal report was filed.


Theft-A complainant on the 700 block of Cedro Street reported unknown subject(s) had taken a go-kart valued at over $2,000.00 from outside of their property. A formal report was filed and the go-kart was entered into a database as stolen.

Public Intoxication-Deputies this evening arrested thirty-three Monika Hernandez out of San Antonio, Texas on public intoxication charges at the Stripes convenience store on FM 1021 after she had displayed signs of intoxication. She was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
