A deputy patrolling North Veterans Blvd. this morning conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 KIA coupe after a minor infraction. Contact was made with the driver, forty-three year old Antonio Betancourt, who displayed signs of being highly intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
The female driver of a Chrysler van reported she had been travelling eastbound on FM 1021 this morning when an unknown merged onto her lane, causing a collision. The complainant further advised the pickup did not stop afterwards and continued travelling on FM 1021.
