Wanted Person

Potro Street/Calle Encuentro

Deputies were patrolling the area of Potro St. when they noticed a (2007 Gray Chevrolet Equinox) with defective equipment (no brake lights) and initiated the emergency lights (red and blues) to conduct a traffic stop for said violation. Contact with male driver identified as Manuel Rodriguez Jr. (37 YOA) in which he was advised for the reason for the traffic stop. Deputy then conducted an NCIC/TCIC check on Rodriguez which revealed he had an active warrant out of Maverick County Sheriff's Office for Failure to Appear as per OCA: 25927/ 25934. Rodriguez was placed under arrest and transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. A report was filed in reference to this matter.

Motor Vehicle Accident with a Fixed Object

3200 Block of Del Rio Blvd.

Deputies were dispatched 3200 block of Del Rio Blvd., U.S North Highway 277 in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival contact was made with driver of vehicle (2019 White Freightliner) who advised he was trying to conduct a wide turn to enter the Dollar General. Driver advised upon entering the store he got the curve and stuck a light pole. A report was filed in reference to this matter.

Lost License Plate Report

Deputies were dispatched to the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department for a lost license plate report. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with reporting person who stated she lost the license plate from her home made trailer back in May of 2012. Reporting person wished to file a report in reference to this incident.

Wanted Person

Border Patrol South Station

Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to the Border Patrol Station South in reference to a possible wanted person. Upon arrival, Deputy made contact with B.P Agent who stated said male subject identified as Sadis Velasquez (36 YOA) was checked through the TCIC/NCIC system and came back with an active warrant out of Orange County New York City (OCA # S0-16481-17 Assault Second). Said male subject was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process.
