Maverick County Sheriff Daily Report


Disorderly Conduct
3064 Tabachin
On Wednesday, 06/12/2019 at approximately 9:07 AM, Maverick County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to 3000 block of Tabachin Dr. in regards to a disoriented male subject. Contact was then made with a reporting person who stated he woke up and noticed his son identified as Mark Anthony Cana (47 YOA) taking his personal items and furniture and placing them outside while being naked. Contact was then made with a second reporting person who stated he observed Cana naked throwing items in which he stopped to pick up the items and told Cana to put on clothing. Cana was then placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident
FM 481
On Wednesday, 06/12/2019 at approximately 10:38 AM, Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to FM 481 in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Contact was then made with DPS officer who stated a 2013 White Tractor truck was traveling northbound. DPS Officer stated male driver lost control of the tractor truck and veered to t he right in which the tractor flipped to the right side. Driver was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. Tavo’s Wrecker Service was summoned to location and impounded said vehicle.

Criminal Trespass
533 Bishop Gracida Drive
On this Wednesday 06-12-19 at approximately 10:52 a.m., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to 556 Bishop Gracida Dr. in reference to an unwanted male subject by location. Upon arrival, Deputy Sheriff made contact with complainant who stated her ex-boyfriend had arrived to her residence without her consent. Complainant stated she does not want to have any communication with her ex-boyfriend. Complainant wished to file a report in reference to this incident.

Runaway
578 Wildwood Drive
On 06/12/2019 at approximately 16:57 hrs., Deputy Sheriff was dispatched to 578 Wildwood Drive in reference to a runaway. Upon arrival Deputy made contact with male complainant. The complainant stated his male juvenile son left his residence without permission to an unknown direction at approximately 08:00 hrs. The complainant further stated he tried to make contact with his son at approximately 15:30 hrs., by the intersection of Veterans and J.M Wheeler. Upon further investigation, the complainant advised his son may be possibly at a residence located on Spies Drive. The male juvenile deputy was dispatched to said location, upon arrival contact was made with reporting person who stated known subject have been using her bank account without her consent. Report was taken.

Reckless Driving
Highway 277 N
On June 12, 2019 at approximately 7:41 P.M Stone Garden Deputies were patrolling the area of U.S Highway 277 North. Deputies then noticed a (2015 White Chevrolet Silverado 2500) recklessly driving at a high rate of speed through the center lane passing vehicles. Deputies then conducted a turnaround and activated the emergency lights (Red and Blue) to unit (SG-1). Vehicle was then attempting to avoid being pulled over by entering a gas station parking lot and exiting where Deputies were able to catch up. Said vehicle then came to a stop on North Veterans and Lemon Wood St. in which the male driver identified as Ricardo Flores Jr. (20 YOA) was placed under arrest for reckless driving. Flores was then transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. Said vehicle was inventoried and impounded by Davis Wrecker Service.

Motor Vehicle Accident
Juanita Drive
Maverick County Units were dispatched to said location, Contact was made with male juvenile (14 YOA) driver of a 2015 blue Chevrolet Equinox gold 1999 Ford F- 250. Juvenile driver stated he was traveling on Siesta Driver turning westbound onto Juanita, when he stated he was distracted by using his electronic device causing to strike a 2018 gray Ford F-250 causing severe damages to the back center of said vehicle. EMS was summoned to location, where male juvenile refused further treatment and transport. Wrecker Service was summoned to location, where the Chevrolet Equinox was towed away by Davis Wrecker Service.

Injury to Child
Bishop
Deputy was dispatched to said location in regards to an assault. Contact was made with reporting person who stated a known male subject had assaulted a juvenile. Report was taken  

Family Violence Assault
Standing Rock
Deputy was dispatched to said location, contact was made with reporting person who stated that she had a verbal argument with her ex-spouse who began aggressive towards her by pushing her multiple times. Ex-spouse then got into said vehicle and damaged the front windshield, and the shift gear from her 2013 white Ford Edge without her effective consent.  Report was taken

Evading Arrest w/Motor Vehicle
Highway 57
Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2002 yellow Ford Escape for a traffic violation. Vehicle then refused to stop when deputies activated the emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. Vehicle then initiate a pursuit which lead deputies through several areas in the county and in the city limits. Vehicle then continued the pursuit in which vehicle then proceeded to the river vega, in which a male subject who was later identified as Moises Martinez-Solar (18 YOA) then jumped into the river along with the vehicle. Martinez then swim to the Mexico side, in which Mexican Police apprehended Martinez and turned him over to Deputies on the United Stated side. EMS was summoned to location where Martinez was transported to Fort Duncan  Regional Medical Center for further treatment. Martinez was later released and was transported to Tom Bowles Detention Center for Evading Arrest w/ Motor Vehicle and further processing. Vehicle was later recovered from the river by Davis Wrecker Service entered in to the TCIC/NCIC system a runaway. A report was filed in reference to this matter.
