Maverick County Sheriff Daily Report


Criminal Trespass
16621 N. Highway 277
Units were dispatched to a location on Highway 277 in regards to an unwanted male subject by location. Upon arrival deputies made contact with complainant who advised a known male subject identified as Gabriel Rojas (41 years of age) did not want to leave said location. Complainant advised male subject was advised several times to leave the residence in which he refused. Male subject was arrested for criminal trespass and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA)
Rosita Valley and FM 1021
Maverick County Units were dispatched to County Road 215 in reference to an MVA. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with a silver Chevrolet Malibu who had front end damages. Deputies made contact with second vehicle a 2018 tan Chevrolet Tahoe which had front right damages. After further investigation, 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe failed to yield the right of away from exiting Rosita Valley Road and stuck 2014 Chevrolet Malibu Drivers and passengers refused medical attention at time of report.

Disorderly Conduct
1500 block Diaz Street
Maverick County Units were dispatched to said location in reference to a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with two females, Daisy Mata (20) and Elizabeth Fernandez (24) in which were involved in a physical altercation. Upon further investigation; Both Females were placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Wanted Person
Port of Entry #1
A TCIC/NCIC check on male subject Salvador Flores (25) came back wanted out of Cook County, (Possession of a control substance). He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Possession of Stolen Vehicle
BP Check Point
Deputies was dispatched to the Border Patrol Checkpoint located on Hwy 57 in reference to a recovered stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with Border Patrol agents who stated that said vehicle (1995 Gold Lexus) was send to secondary inspection due to the vehicle's license plates alerting to be a stolen vehicle. Deputies conducted a TCIC/NCIC check on said vehicle in which came back stolen out of San Antonio, Texas. After further investigation, driver Andy Vasquez (30) and passenger James Cerda (33) were placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further process. Balde’s Wrecker Service towed vehicle to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office for safe keeping. Case under investigation.

Deceased Person
200 block Washington Street
Deputies was dispatched to said location in reference to a deceased person report. Upon arrival, deputy made contact with reporting person who stated that male subject had passed away from natural causes. JP 4 Hernandez pronounced time of dead at 4:30 PM.  Memorial Funeral arrived and took over the body.
