Maverick County Daily Reports-March 09, 2019

Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies arrested twenty-six-year-old Alberto Zamora at the international port of entry #2 early this morning after agents at the port detained him when he was found in possession of a substance with marijuana characteristics. The substance would test positive for marijuana and Zamora was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

DWI/Resisting Arrest-Units responded to a highly intoxicated subject near the flea market on Highway 277 this morning. Contact was made with the driver of the black Pontiac in question, Marcos Lopez Maldonado, who was seen exiting the property. Mr. Lopez displayed signs of intoxication and a strong alcoholic odor emitting from his person. Upon attempting to detain Lopez, he became uncompliant and begin to resist officers. He was eventually taken into custody and transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for a medical condition before being taken to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
