Maverick County Daily Reports-December 29, 2018

Disorderly Conduct-Deputies this morning arrested a male subject identified as Josue Rocha after he was found in an aggressive state around his family members at a residence on Mack Circle. He was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing and was later issued a citation.

Credit/Debit Card Abuse-A complainant reported she cannot find her driver's license and debit card and believes an unknown subject(s) is using her debit card without consent after an unknown charge appeared on her bank statement.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle-Deputies met with a resident on the 100 block ofo Wipff Road who reported he returned home to find two dirt bikes were taken from his front yard without consent. A formal report was filed.

Assault-A county unit was dispatched to the 100 block of Progreso in the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County this afternoon in reference to a disturbance in the area. Contact was made with complainants at the scene who reported they had been assaulted by a known subject in the midst of attempting to retreive items belonging to them. Both complainants displayed minor facial bruising and wished to file charges against the subject, Pedro Romero, Jr., who was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. A criminal trespass warning was also issued against the two complainants, who were advised not to return to the residence.

Possession of Marijuana-Deputies met with United States Border Patrol agents who reported x-ray machines detected approximately fourteen square packages hidden in passenger and rear side doors of a 2000 Grand Marquis attempting to travel north on US Highway 57. The packages, containing a green leafy substance which would later test positive for marijuana, were recovered and weighed in at a total of 33.4 pounds. Nayeli Margarita Martinez Torres was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The vehicle was impounded was impounded to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office and the case has been turned over the Criminal Investigations Division.
