Maverick County Daily Reports-December 28, 2018

Wanted Person-Deputies responded to the international port of entry this morning after agents at the port detained a male subject after a check revealed a possible warrant for his arrest. The warrant out of Tarrant County for twenty-two-year-old Braulio Reyes was confirmed and Mr. Reyes was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-A resident on the 100 block of Standing Rock reported a known male subject assaulted her at her residence when he put a knife to her throat and demanded she take him to his girlfriend's home. A formal report was taken.

Assault-Deputies met with a resident on the 2500 block of Rosita Valley Road this evening after she reported a known male subject had become aggressive with her and had struck her on the facial area. The complainant refused medical attention at the time of the report.

Wanted Person-Refugio Escobar, Jr. was taken into custody at the international port of entry #1after he was initially detained by CBP agents when a check revealed a warrant out of San Diego, California on a weapons offense. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Escobar was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
