Theft-A resident on the 200 block of Wildwood Drive reported unknown subject(s) entered her property and took her dog without consent. A formal report was filed.
Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle/Possession of a Controlled Substance/Possession of a Stolen Hand Gun-Deputies performing Operation Stonegarden duties attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2006 Jeep Laredo in the Loma Bonita sector of Maverick County this evening. The driver of the vehicle initially refused to stop and a brief pursuit ensued before coming to an end near the 700 block of Avenida Linares. A handgun, later revealed to be reported stolen at the San Antonio Police Department and several Lorazepam pills were recovered after a brief investigation. Arrested at the scene was Carlos Alejandro Valdes, who was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for further processing. This case is under investigation.
