Burglary of Building-Units responded to the Dollar General store on FM1021 shortly before 8 AM this morning, whereupon arrival observed the entry doors had been broken into. A check of the building revealed unknown subject(s) had turned off the power to the store before entering and had taken alcoholic beverages and cigarettes before leaving the scene. A formal report was filed.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies made their way to the intersection of FM1021 and Loop 480 this morning after a 2019 Volvo 18-wheeler turning onto 480 from FM1021 failed to give the right of way and was struck by a 2013 Ford F-350. EMS crews were summoned to the scene, where the occupants of the pickup were transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. The occupants of the trailer refused further medical attention at the time of this report.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Units responded to the intersection of FM1021 and Loop 480 after the driver of a 2012 GMC Terrain attempting to conduct an illegal u-turn upon entering Loop 480 was struck by an 18-wheeler travelling northbound. EMS and fire crews were on hand, where the jaws of life were needed to extract the forty-year old driver who was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation. The driver of the trailer was evaluated at the scene and refused further medical attention. The Texas Department of Public Safety has taken over investigations.
