Driving While Intoxicated-A deputy patrolling the Loma Bonita area early this morning conducted a traffic stop on a Nissan Altima after it had disregarded a stop sign. Contact was made with the driver, identified as Roberto Lee Vargas, who emitted a strong alcoholic odor from his person. Mr. Vargas admitted to drinking approximately three beers. A field sobriety exam was given, in which he would perform poorly. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Burglary of Building-A unit responded to the Dollar General store on the 5800 block of El Indio Highway in reference to a burglary of building. Upon arrival, a deputy observed the store's front glass door broken. The building was cleared and the manager at the scene reported he only noticed several cases of beer were found missing from the cooler.
Wanted Person-Alfonso Vega Noriega was taken into custody at the international port of entry 2 this morning after a check revealed an active warrant for his arrest. the warrant was confirmed and Mr. Noriega was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Deceased Person-A deputy arrived at a residence on Remington Drive this evening, where hospice personnel reported an eighty-six year old male subject had passed away during caretaking. Contact was also made with the Justice of the Peace, who declared the male subject deceased due to natural causes.,
