Maverick County Daily Reports-October 14, 2018

Public Intoxication-Deputies responded to a disturbance in progress on County Road 253 this morning, where contact was made with the parties at the scene upon arrival. One subject who was found in a highly intoxicated state chose to lay in the street and refused to get up and enter his home. Due to his state, the subject identified as Stanley Elizondo was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault-Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER this morning where a male subject reported he been assaulted by a group of unknown individuals. The complainant stated the attack occurred in the midst of a brief argument with his wife. The complainant would lose consciousness before seeking assistance and being transported to the ER for treatment.

Motor Vehicle Accident/DWI-Deputies responded to Old Pioneer Road this morning after a vehicle was involved in a single motor vehicle accident. Contact was made with a subject found at the scene who stated the driver of the vehicle had fled the area and had been consuming alcohol prior to driving. The driver was later found nearby with an alcoholic odor emitting from his person. He would admit to having consumed alcohol, however, would refuse to perfom a field sobriety exam or give a specimen of his breath. The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Motor Vehicle Accident/DWI-Deputies arrested Juan Antonio Rodriguez on DWI charges this morning after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident on FM1021. The collision caused damages to both vehicles and sent the driver of the second vehicle involved to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further treatment. Both vehicles were towed by a local wrecker service.
