Maverick County Daily Reports-September 20, 2018

Information Report-Deputies responded to Thompson Road early this morning, where the owner of a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup reported he was traveling southbound when his vehicle began to have mechanical issues before it caught fire. Fire Department crews were summoned to the scene to safely extinguish the fire. No injuries were reported.

Public Intoxication-A deputy conducting a traffic stop on a Ford Expedition for a minor traffic infraction on Chula Vista Road this morning placed two subjects under arrest after they were found in an intoxicated state. The subjects,  Lorenzo Salazar Lopez and Thomas Jimenez, Jr. were transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Theft/Recovered Stolen Item-A complainant on Caribou Trail reported a known male subject had taken his bicycle without his consent. Contact was made with the subject, identified as Dalen Gallegos, who had possession of the bicycle. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon-A male subject reported several male subjects had threatened him with a knife and stabbed him several times on his right leg. He was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center ER for further treatment.
