MVA with a Pedestrian-A deputy sheriff made contact with a female subject at the Stripes convenience store on FM1021, who reported she was walking towards her vehicle located by the fuel pumps when she was struck by a vehicle that left the scene. A formal report was filed.
Wanted Person-A male subject was arrested at the international port of entry this afternoon after being detained by agents at the port when a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of the Austin Parole Board was confirmed and the subject was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Theft-A complainant arrived at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office to report his grandmother had taken his gold necklace and a gold charm without his effective consent. A formal report was filed.
Identity Theft-A complainant reported she believes someone has been using her son's personal information to their own benefit.
Criminal Mischief-Units responded to the 700 block of Cedro Street where a complainant reported his brother, later identified as Alfonso Avalos, had caused several damages to his property for no reason. Mr. Avalos was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
Motor Vehicle Accident-Units and EMS crews were dispatched to Loop 480 late this afternoon when the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse traveling northbound attempted to make a u-turn and was struck by a 2007 tractor-trailer also traveling northbound. The accident sent the occupants to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center for further evaluation.
Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz/Possession of a Controlled Substance-Adrian Rodriguez was placed under arrest at the international port of entry #1 this evening after being detained by agents at the port when narcotics were found in his 2006 PT Cruiser. The narcotics, marijuana and methamphetamine, were bagged and taken into sheriff's custody. Mr. Rodriguez was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
