Maverick County Daily Reports-August 30, 2018

Public Intoxication-Juan Aguilar was taken into custody early this morning after he was found in an intoxicated state. He was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault/Family Violence-Units responded to the 4100 block of Deer Run Blvd. where contact was made with a subject identified as twenty-four year old Roberto Aleman, Jr. and a second male subject. The victim advised he had suffered bodily injury after he was physically assaulted by Mr. Aleman. Mr. Aleman was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Assault/Family Violence-Deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 1300 block of Rosita Valley Road to a disturbance in progress. At approximately 4:46 AM, units were en route to the scene whereupon arrival contact was made with a male and female subject. The female subject reported she had been physically assaulted by the male, identified as Adrian Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez was then taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Deceased Person-Units responded to Loop 480 near the international port of entry #2 shortly after 10 AM today after a US Border Patrol agent in the area observed a male subject seen floating in the Rio Grande River. The subject was retrieved and a Justice of the Peace was summoned at the scene to pronounce him deceased. A Local funeral home was on hand to transport the body.

Burglary of Habitation-A complainant arrived at the Maverick County Sheriff's Office to report her uncle had gained entry to an RV she had been using as storage space without consent. The complainant also reported several items had gone missing from inside the RV. A formal report was filed.

Motor Vehicle Accident-Deputies responded to Comanche Ranch on US Highway 277 East, where an 18 Wheeler had struck a pedestrian at the ranch gates. EMT crews were summoned to the scene and the subject was later transported by Air-Evac. The trailer was towed to the Maverick County Sheriff's Office.

Public Intoxication-A resident on the 200 block of Candelario Montalvo reported a male subject was found laying down on her property and appeared to be intoxicated. Deputies arrived at the scene to make contact with forty-two year old Orlando Mendoza, who was in a highly intoxicated state. He was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.
