Maverick County Daily Reports-August 18, 2018

Failure to Identify/Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz.-Deputies patrolling Highway 57 this evening made contact with the occupants of a 2005 Dodge van after it had been stopped for a minor violation. One occupant, later identified as Michael DeWayne Jones, initially provided deputies with false identification, however, a check under his real name revealed an active warrant out of Rock Island County, Illinois. The warrant was confirmed and Mr. Jones was arrested and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. He was also found to be in possession of a cigarillo containing a green leafy substance which would test positive for marijuana.
