Maverick County Daily Reports-July 31, 2018

Assault-Units responded to the Nick Carr Sports Complex in Loma Bonita this morning where a complainant reported being assaulted by an unknown male subject. The victim further reported she was assisted by witnesses at the scene, while two others followed after the male subject who fled the scene on foot. The subject would later be apprehended and identified as twenty-nine year old Adrian Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez was then transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Information Report-Deputies responded to a welfare check on the 3100 block of Mack Circle this morning, where contact was made with several subjects at the location. Upon attempting to speak with the subjects, deputies observed another group fleeing the area through the backyard. Units at the scene from several law enforcement agencies were able to apprehend approximately twenty-nine subjects who were turned over to Border Patrol. HSI has taken over investigations.

Evading Arrest or Detention/Interference with Public Duties-A deputy attempting to conduct a traffic stop on a 2007 Pontiac G6 was led into an apartment complex, where the driver came to a stop and ran into a residence. The subject's mother, identified as Thania Patricia Martinez de Hernandez, then exited the apartment and began entering the vehicle despite officer requests to stay away from the scene. She was taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing The vehicle was towed pending further investigation.

Deceased Person-A deputy was dispatched to the Rio Bravo Ranch on Old Mines Road this afternoon after subjects at the ranch came upon possible human remains. A Justice of the Peace was notified and pronounced the subject deceased.
