Maverick County Daily Reports-February 07, 2018

Information Report-Deputies responded to the 1300 block of Riddle Street, where a 2001 silver Ford Explorer was found engulfed in flames.  Fire crews were at the scene to safely extinguish the fire and arson investigators were on hand to investigate possible causes. No injuries were sustained and no further damages were caused at the time of this report.

Assault-A complainant reported three known male subjects had physically assaulted him the previous Saturday.

Theft-A complainant on the 1500 block of Encuentro reported unknown actor(s) had stolen approximately 8 feet of copper wire from an outside an apartment complex without consent.

Information Report-Units responded to Loop 480 this afternoon after the driver of a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer lost control of the vehicle when a rear tire blew out, causing the vehicle to roll over. EMS crews were at the scene and the driver was medically cleared. The Texas Department of Public Safety was also on at the location and has since taken over the investigation.

Wanted Person-Deputies arrested a female subject identified as Crystal Palacios at the United States Border Patrol checkpoint on US Highway 57 after a check revealed an active warrant. The warrant out of Bexar County was confirmed and she was transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing.

Public Intoxication-Deputies on patrol made contact with three male subjects in a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt who presented signs of intoxication by Balcones Park this evening. Seventeen-year-old Gerardo Montalvo and Hugo Valdez Jr. were taken into custody and transported to the Tom Bowles Detention Center for processing. The third subject, a juvenile was turned over to his parent's custody and the vehicle was impounded by a local wrecker service.
